Advocate® for Cats over 4kg
Protect your pet - inside and out. Advocate, a patented combination of Imidacloprid (from Advantage) and Moxidectin, is a break-through in the treatment of parasites in cats. Advocate treats and protects against the major parasites of your pet, inside and out.
It is recommended that all cats in the same environment should be protected by Advocate or Advantage for cats, and all dogs with Advocate or Advantage for dogs. Advocate may be used as the only product for flea control as it breaks the life cycle and kills fleas emerging from the environment before they successfully re-infest the cat.
For the elimination of ear mites (Otodectes cynotis), Advocate should be applied once and is highly efficacious as a single dose. Cats not responding to the initial treatment may respond to a second monthly treatment, however this has not been established for Advocate. Monthly application of Advocate will treat any subsequent ear mite infestation. To maximise efficacy gentle cleaning of the ear canal is recommended.
For the treatment and control of lungworm (Aelurostrongylus abstrusus), Advocate is highly efficacious as a single dose. Monthly application of Advocate will control any subsequent lungworm infections.
For use in cats and kittens from 9 weeks of age. One application lasts 4 weeks.
Use with caution in sick, debilitated or underweight animals.
Multiple-dose safety studies in kittens and adult cats produced no adverse effects. No primary embryo-toxic, teratogenic or reproductive toxic effects have been observed with imidacloprid or moxidectin in laboratory species. Evidence suggests that no adverse effects are to be expected in pregnant and lactating cats. However, the safety of Advocate has not been established during pregnancy and lactation.
For topical application onto cats using the following dosages:
|Small Cats and Kittens up to 4kg||0.4mL|
|Cats over 4kg||0.8mL|
Part the hair on the back of the head and apply onto the skin.
