Everyone loves puppies.
The domestic dog has been one of the most widely kept working
and companion animals in human history. Dogs perform many roles for
people, such as hunting, herding, protection, companionship, and
assisting individuals with physical or mental disabilities.
Currently, there are an estimated 500,000 dogs in New Zealand.
Dogs are highly variable in height and weight and the typical
lifespan of dogs varies widely among breeds.
